Most signs are produced on aluminum, but we can also manufacture signs using PVC, polyethylene, and other corrosion-resistant surfaces. Daymarks

Daymarks are permanently-placed signs attached to structures such as pilings in the water. Common daymarks are red triangles (equivalent to nuns) and green squares (equivalent to cans) and may also be lighted. Our Lateral Daymarks are manufactured from 0.125 aluminum blanks and powder coated with marine grade powder coating. Standard sizes include 36 inch Port Daymarks and 48 inch Starboard Daymarks.  Custom sizes are also available.

These navigation aids are used to mark the edges of safe water areas; for example, to direct travel within a channel. They use a combination of colors and numbers which may be applied to buoys or permanently placed markers.  Remember - red, right, returning...

Regulatory Signage

Regulatory signage is used when it is necessary to impart information to the boating public. These signs can alert boaters to a speed limit, an underwater obstruction, or the presence of fouling hazards.

There are four types of regulatory signs: Controlled Area, Restricted Area, Danger, and Information. See the FAQ: What do the regulatory symbols stand for? for examples of each type. Standard small sizes include 18" by 24" and 24" by 36" and are made on 0.080 Aluminum. Larger and custom sizes of 0.125" thickness are also available.
