The WNS 6000 buoy is a high-quality buoy ideal for regulatory signs and for marking hazards, mooring fields, and channels in lakes, rivers, and coastal harbors.
Features:
- One piece polyethylene shell - almost indestructible and UV resistant
- Base is completely foam filled - virtually unsinkable even if hull is damaged
- Recessed galvanized anchor point - allows unit to stand upright for storage
- Internal concrete/steel counterweight - lower center of gravity, and allows for more upright on station
- 3M Scotchlite(TM) reflective band - unmatched nightime visibility
- Signage on 10 oz vinyl wrap - easily replaced if damaged and highly customizable
- Custom colors and shapes available (see below)
Basic Specifications:
- Signage can is 12" in diameter and 32" in height for <1/2 Mile Visibility applications
- 36" freeboard with no mooring line weight added
- Up to 40 lbs of mooring cable can be used, allowing deployment in deep water
- Signage can is hollow and can be replaced in the field if knocked off during a hard collision
- Signage can has three freeing ports that double as lifting eyes
- 70 lbs average weight results in a stable configuration without requiring additional ballast
- 3/16" thick polyethylene hull that is UV stabilized
- 1/2" galvanized or stainless steel (optional) recessed mooring eye for calm water applications
- Concrete ballast
- Base completely filled with US Coast Guard approved urethane foam
Options:
- Swift water anchor point - side-mounted mooring eye, ideal for situations where strong current or tide is a factor, allows buoy to remain upright on station
- Stainless mooring eye - high wear or salt water applications
